Learning is an essential part of your program experience. From Traditions to your on-the-job training to the end of your program, we are committed to helping you learn and grow while spending time with us. On top of your work training, we also offer a wide range of learning offerings to enhance your program.
For our Disney College Program, Culinary Program and International College Program participants who enroll on DORMS within the designated registration window for a learning offering, the Programs Experience Team will proactively request time off for you. This only applies to select offerings, such as our Instructor-Led and Discover Disney experiences. Be sure to read the full description of the offering to be certain if time off will be requested for you. If time off is requested, our no-show policy will apply.
It is important to note that during peak operational times, we do not request time off for any offerings. Additionally, requested time off for all learning offerings is maxed out at six hours per week.
What if I am a Cultural Representative Program participant?
Time off is not requested for any of our Cultural Representative Program participants regardless of status as a full-time Cast Member or an Operating Participant. Cultural Representative Program participants are welcome to still enroll in any eligible offerings on DORMS, however, you are responsible for adjusting your own schedule to attend the offering.
When do I need to sign up to make sure time is requested off for me?
Time off will be requested for those who enroll by the registration deadline posted in the DORMS description. If you sign up after the registration deadline, you will be responsible for adjusting your schedule to attend the offering.
I signed up in the designated window. Why am I still scheduled to work?
While we request the time off for you, it is not guaranteed. If you are still scheduled to work and unable to attend the offering, please let us know prior to the offering so we can remove you and prevent you from being recorded as a no-show. To contact us, please visit either the Programs Desk in Apprentice Hall or submit a request.
What is the no-show policy?
Our no-show policy can be found on our Support Site (What is the No-Show Policy).
