Cast Members can let the “World” know about their multilingual talents by wearing special language pins on their Disney nametags through the Language Pin program.
Wearing a language pin makes it easy for Guests and Cast Members to quickly identify someone who speaks their language. To illustrate a Cast Member’s ability to speak a language other than English, he or she wears a nametag that displays their language in the script of origin.
To receive your pin, you must take a quick language assessment over the phone. To be assessed, Cast Members who have already completed their Disney Traditions day and have started working in their area, may call the Disney Service Center at ext. 1396 (407-827-1396) during regular office hours to schedule an appointment for testing.
Fluency is not required, but a good conversational ability, especially in the area of Guest service, must be displayed. If you display a good conversational ability, your new nametag will be ordered and delivered to your costuming location. The process takes about two weeks. We are not able to order a language pin 30 days before your program ends.
