Welcome to the Sunshine State! Our tropical climate makes for perfect weather for many outdoor activities. Just remember to monitor the time you spend in the sun and protect your skin! Here are some tips to keep you safe and healthy:
- Whether wet or dry, reapply! Apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher on all unprotected skin. Most sunscreens require you reapply every two hours. Remember to reapply more often when swimming or playing sports, especially if you are wiping off water or sweat with a towel.
- Pack a hat. Shade yourself from the sun’s rays by wearing protective clothing. Hats that protect your ears, neck and face, long-sleeve shirts and sunglasses are what to wear when it’s hot out there! Remember to refer to the Disney Look for costume-appropriate options.
- Don't let overcast days cloud your judgement. The sun's rays can still penetrate the atmosphere even on days when the sky is overcast. Take caution when outdoors.
