We understand participants may experience unexpected complications, such as personal conflicts that require them to end their program early.
A participant can break their program at any time for any reason, and can begin the process by speaking to a work location leader or a specialist at the Disney Service Center/Programs Office. If possible, two weeks notice is recommended so the work location can adjust to these labor changes. The participant will need to provide their new expected departure date and a general reason for their departure (ex. personal, school-related, work-related, etc.).
Please note, if you leave prior to your scheduled departure date unapproved, you will not complete your program, and you will receive an unfavorable rehire status with all segments of The Walt Disney Company.
Walt Disney World Resort (Florida)
Please note, the participant must work up until their departure date, and must depart housing by 11 a.m. on their departure date.
On their new departure date, the participant must turn in their Program ID and apartment key to the Disney Service Center, or to Security if the Service Center is closed. The participant is responsible for turning in their company-issued ID and costumes to their work location.
Disneyland Resort (in California)
On your departure day, you will be checked out by a member of the Programs team. They will collect your keys, proxy card and blue ID if it was not given to your managers.
Any resident who chooses to leave early is still responsible for housing fees throughout the duration of their program. Payment of remaining housing fees will be discussed with a member of the Programs Office team.
