The Disney Service Center/Programs Office at your apartment complex is here to support your needs. We want to help you create an unforgettable and successful program, and one important part of this is creating a safe and comfortable living environment. We always recommend that you do your best to address any issues in your apartment by having a face-to-face conversation with your roommates or conducting your own apartment meeting, and we provide you with suggestions on the best ways to go about addressing conflicts here. However, sometimes you may need some extra help. We are here to provide support when you are experiencing challenges with your roommates that you feel you cannot solve alone.
Requesting the meeting: Please visit or call your Disney Service Center/Programs Office if you would like to request an apartment meeting with Disney Housing. Once you have requested the meeting, everyone in the apartment will receive an email with meeting information. Please note that the meeting requester is the only one who is able to cancel the meeting. While we will not share who requested the meeting, everyone in the apartment will receive the email and will be required to attend the meeting.
Preparing for the meeting: Once the apartment meeting is scheduled, it is mandatory for everyone in the apartment to attend. While you will not be excused from your shift, you will not receive late notations if the meeting takes place during work shift. It is your responsibility to notify your work leadership team about your meeting in advance so they are able to make any necessary schedule adjustments. Your meeting will not reflect on your work record card and you are not in trouble if you or your roommates are scheduled for an apartment meeting.
During the meeting: The meeting will last between 30-45 minutes. A Disney Specialist will sit with you and your roommates during most or all of the meeting to help guide the conversation and take notes. The meeting will be led by you and your roommates, and is provided as time for you to discuss whatever issues you may be experiencing in the apartment and create solutions for these issues. During the meeting, we expect all roommates to communicate and listen respectfully, even if the meeting addresses difficult or emotionally-charged challenges. As solutions and agreements are made during the meeting, the specialist will take notes to send in an email recap. These agreements are considered a contract made between you and your roommates and should be adhered to after the meeting is over.
We are always here to listen and offer advice before, during, and after the meeting is over. If you feel that there something going on in your apartment that is beyond the scope of an apartment meeting, such as a violation of Housing community codes, please reach out to Security at your apartment complex. For more information about Community Codes, please refer to your Program Guide.
