
Each year, we welcome many Cast Members from The Disney Store and we are happy to share best practices for an easy transition! This article contains several helpful tips; I encourage you to show this article to your store leadership in preparation for your Disney College Program.
About one month prior to arrival, our team will add a transfer action to the company’s HR system effective the Sunday before your arrival. Your Perner will also remain the same. Please ask your store leadership to refrain from separating you in the company’s HR system.
Current Disney Store Cast Members often do not complete onboarding paperwork a second time. You will only be asked to complete the paperwork that is necessary to you.
You’ll need to work with your store leaders when it comes to scheduling your last week of work in that location. Let them know your travel dates in advance. Again, please remind them not to separate you in the company’s HR system.
Lastly, if you’d like to return to the store after your program, keep in touch with your store leadership. Ask them for advice on timing and how to keep in touch. Please know it is at the discretion of your store’s leadership team to determine if you are able to return.
