Disney College Program and Disney Culinary Program
Medical insurance is not included as a benefit for participants in the Disney College Program or the Disney Culinary Program.
While coverage is not required, it is strongly recommended that you obtain medical insurance for the duration of your program.
You may want to consult your current insurance provider to discuss options for students participating in academic internships, co-ops, or work-study programs.
Cultural Representative Program – 12-month (Q visa)
Health and life insurance are provided for participants in this program. However, coverage does not begin until the first day of the month following 90 days of continuous service.
We strongly encourage you to obtain appropriate insurance coverage before this date in case you need medical attention. You may choose any policy that best fits your needs.
Cultural Representative Program – less than 12 months (Q visa)
Health and life insurance are not provided for participants in shorter-term programs.
Because the United States does not have government-funded health services, we strongly encourage you to purchase appropriate insurance for the duration of your program. You may choose any policy that best fits your needs.
Cultural Exchange Program (J visa)
Cultural Exchange Program – Australia/New Zealand (J visa)
Health and life insurance are not provided for participants in these programs. The United States does not have government-funded health services.
In accordance with visa requirements, you must have sufficient medical insurance coverage during your stay and provide proof of insurance prior to your arrival.
Note: If you are a U.S. citizen, you are not required to purchase a medical plan.
