Thinking about applying? Here's some information to help you check if you're eligible, and what you can expect while on the program.
Eligibility Check
Below is a quick summary to help you see if you’re eligible to apply. We encourage you to visit the Disney College Program career website (click here) to read the complete list of eligibility requirements prior to applying.
- You're at least 18 years old on the day you submit your application.
- You're currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university and actively working toward an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Graduate degree or you graduated from one within the last 12 months of this job posting (U.S. includes all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories).
- You've completed at least one term (or 6 credit hours) toward your degree, earned after high school graduation or your GED. Note: if you're a college freshman, this can't be your first semester of school
- You're in good academic standing with your school.
- You have valid work authorization for the full length of your program (U.S. citizens, nationals, green card holders, and F-1 OPT/CPT students are all welcome).
- If you've done a Disney College Program before, it's been at least 4 months since your last program ended.
You Are NOT Eligible If…
You're still in high school. Even if you're dual-enrolled in high school and taking college classes right now, you're not eligible to apply yet. You'll need your high school diploma or GED first. Any college credit hours earned while still in high school don't count toward the 6-credit-hour requirement above. Only credits you earned after you've graduated high school or completed your GED count towards the requirement.
You graduated more than 12 months before the job position was posted. That window is measured from when the application becomes available. Not the date you apply or the date the program starts.
You're a returning Disney College Program participant who hasn't waited long enough. At least 4 full months must pass since your last program's departure date before you can arrive for a new program.
Your visa doesn't cover the full program. Students applying with a visa must contact their Designated School Official (DSO) to confirm eligibility before applying. If accepted, your visa must be valid for the full duration of your selected program dates prior to arrival. Disney does not sponsor visas.
A Few More Things to Know
If you participate on the Disney College Program, here's what to expect:
- You'll be paid the starting rate listed in the job posting.
- You'll need to follow Disney Look (click here) appearance guidelines.
- Your schedule will need to be fully flexible, including working Sunday through Saturday, days and nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
- You'll be working in a variety of outdoor conditions (including heat, humidity, cold, wet weather) and locations that will require prolonged standing or walking during your work shifts.
- You'll follow standard workplace cleaning and safety procedures within your work location.
If you are extended an offer to participate on the Disney College Program, you'll need to pay a Program Participation Fee and Housing Fee (click here) to accept your offer.
International Students
To apply, you need to be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university and hold work authorization valid for your full program length. This includes F-1 students with valid OPT or CPT.
Have a different type of work authorization? Reach out to your Designated School Official (DSO) to confirm your visa will stay valid for the full duration of your selected program dates before you apply. Disney does not sponsor visas for this program.
One more thing: If you're extended an offer to participate in the program, you'll need to show proof of your legal right to work in the U.S. prior to your program start date.
