General Drug Screening FAQs
Q: Will I be required to complete a drug screening for my Program?
A: Prior to your arrival or during your arrival week, you may be asked to complete a drug screen. However, not all participants will be required to complete a drug screen prior to their first day of work (Disney Traditions). Please continue to monitor your email for any further updates as this is time sensitive.
Q: The birth date on my drug screening authorization form is 01/01/1900. Can I change it?
A: For security, your birth date is not available to view and the reason you see 01/01/1900. When you arrive at your assigned clinic, they will update your birth date upon viewing your valid photo ID.
Q: What do I need to bring to my drug screening appointment?
A: To ensure your drug screening is processed correctly, you must bring with you the drug screening authorization form (sent via email from donotreply@vaulthealth.com) along with valid photo ID (unexpired driver’s license or passport work best). A photocopy or expired ID could be rejected by the clinic as not valid.
Please be advised that you will not be permitted to leave the clinic until you have provided a sample; in case you are there for a few hours, we recommend bringing earphones, a book, or any other form of entertainment that is not disruptive to others at the clinic.
Q: How much water should I drink in preparation for my appointment?
A: It is recommended that you refrain from caffeine and drink enough water that you feel hydrated, but not so much that you feel bloated. You are welcome to bring a water bottle with you to the clinic in case you need a little extra time to provide a sample.
Q: Do I pay for the drug screening or is it covered?
A: The Walt Disney Company covers the cost associated with this pre-employment requirement. To ensure your drug screening is ordered properly, you must bring your drug screening authorization form along with a valid form of photo ID with you to the clinic. Completing a drug screening at a different clinic and/or not presenting the drug screening authorization form may cause you to be billed by the clinic.
Q: Is certain attire required for this appointment?
A: There is no dress code requirement for this appointment, and we recommend dressing in comfortable clothes as you may be at the clinic for a few hours. You are encouraged to bring a jacket as well, as some clinics may be cold.
Q: I am currently prescribed medications that could potentially flag on a drug screening. Is there any documentation I can provide along with my test?
A: If you are selected to complete a drug screening, please proceed with completing the test as required. If your test does lead to positive result we will put you in contact with a Medical Resource Officer (MRO) for further discussion of your test results, at which point you will be able to provide any prescriptions or doctor's notes.
Linked on the 2nd page of your offer letter, you can find the Drug Screening Consent Form, which includes more specific information on which drugs will be tested for in your sample.
Q: What if I have a medical marijuana card?
A: Please review our Drug Screening Consent Form, linked on the 2nd page of your offer letter, for The Walt Disney Company's full drug screening policy that you agreed to at the time of accepting your offer.
