Whether you’ve lived far away from home before or have never been more than a few miles from your loved ones, we want to make sure you are ready and excited to begin your Disney story. Each checklist contains important actions/ milestones you should follow to prepare for your program.

In the event you need to request a medical, religious, or housing accommodation, please take immediate action. Simply click on the appropriate link below and carefully follow the instructions to complete and submit your request.
If you do not need to request an accommodation, you do not need to complete any form.
Note: Participants may be placed and moved into any location across the Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts property, based upon operational need.
Ensure you have a Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
You will need a valid (non-expired) government-issued photo ID to complete your background check and to check in for Disney Traditions, which is your first day of work.
To begin working, you will need to show proper employment eligibility documentation. Review the list of acceptable documents and be sure to bring the originals with you (no copies will be accepted).
What documents are required for international students studying in the U.S.?
Our appearance standards are an important part of our company's heritage. You are expected to review the full Disney Look guidelines prior to arrival. You must be fully compliant with the Disney Look guidelines when you arrive.
30 - 60 Days Before Arrival
As your arrival day draws closer, please keep watch for important communication from us with links to several items you must read and/or complete. You will need to frequently log into your Dashboard, DORMS and Onboarding Site to add information and complete documents.
Incoming participants may have the opportunity to indicate preferences for apartment, floorplan, and/or roommates.
Accurate Background Check
Participants will receive an email from Accurate Backgrounds, Inc. to initiate the background check pre-arrival process. This email is time-sensitive and must be completed in the allotted time. Please keep an eye out for this email.
A message to access your onboarding tasks will be sent from Workday 2 to 6 weeks prior to your arrival date prompting you to complete the required pre-arrival tasks. Please complete all required tasks as soon as you receive the message.
This includes your I-9 Section 1 & 2 and your Workday tasks.
These must be completed before you will receive your itinerary which typically comes 1 week prior to arrival.
Tips on completing your I-9 Documents
Setting Up Direct Deposit
You will receive information on enrolling in direct deposit while completing your on-boarding documentation. In order to set this up, you will need your bank's routing number and your account number.
To ensure a safe and healthy environment for our Guests and Cast, we are committed to maintaining a workplace free of the influences of drugs. You may receive an email regarding the completion of a Drug Screen. This process is time-sensitive and must be completed in the allotted time. Please keep an eye out for this email.
Gain approval for any forms your school or faculty may require in order for you to gain credit for your experience.
Check-in could begin as early as 8 a.m.
Your exact arrival time will be on your itinerary, approximately one week prior to your arrival date.
If booking travel prior to receiving your itinerary, plan to arrive no later than 12noon EST to Flamingo Crossings Village. You will be responsible for transportation to any missed appointments.

Please note that check-out time on your program end date/departure date is 10 a.m.
10 - 20 Days Before Arrival
Your arrival day is right around the corner! Please ensure all of the following items are completed so that you are ready to go.
Itineraries for your arrival group will be sent about 6 days prior to your arrival. It will have all the information for your first week's appointments, as well as your role.
You will not receive your itinerary if we are missing any of the following. Make sure you complete them as soon as you can:

I-9 Section 1 & Section 2 (completed by your designated authorized rep) from I-9 Service Center Email/Fragomen
Renter's Insurance is not mandatory; however, American Campus Communities strongly encourages securing renter's insurance including coverage for personal liability, as it is the only reliable source of financial compensation should any possessions be damaged, lost, or stolen due to fire, theft, flood, vandalism, loss of power, or any other unforeseen act. Medical insurance is not provided; therefore, you will be responsible for securing your own medical insurance for the duration of your program. Consult with your current medical insurance provider regarding the provider's coverage for students participating on academic internships, co-ops, or work-study programs.
